<span> <p><span>Responsibilities include, but not limited to, :</span></p> <ul><li><span>Write and pitch news releases, case and deals, media advisories and other firm announcements</span></li><li><span>Write briefing materials, internal newsletter, preparing responses, to RFPs and statement of qualifications; writing practice and industry area descriptions.</span></li><li><span>Respond promptly to publicity opportunities for attorneys involving newsworthy cases and client matters</span></li><li><span>Develop and maintain firm interview bank of attorneys able to speak to media on practice area activities and general legal issues.</span></li><li><span>Manage and maintain up to date media contact information for e-mail media lists developed by practice area, geographic location, industry and types of media.</span></li><li><span>Monitor and maintain editorial calendars of targeted publications.</span></li><li><span>Coordinate business development seminars and events, including client and prospect mailings, registration, on-site technology requirements and attendee follow-up.</span></li><li><span>Develop relationships with attorneys by maintaining a high level of interaction.</span></li><li><span>Prepare award nominations.</span></li><li><span>Reviews and edits lawyer bios. Assist marketing specialist in creating and maintaining experience records and attorney bios.</span></li><li><span>Assist in reviewing and editing newsletters, alerts and articles.</span></li><li><span>Support business development efforts, including researching and gathering information, as directed by the marketing director, on clients, prospects and business sectors.</span></li><li><span>Maintain database to track RFPs and supports firms business development efforts, including researching and gathering information, on clients, on prospects and on business sectors; assisting attorneys in preparing legal services proposals, capabilities presentations and responses to RFPs.</span></li><li><span>Assist Director of Marketing with other duties as assigned.</span></li></ul> </span>
Job Requirements
<ul><li>BS Degree in Communications / PR, Marketing, or Journalism</li><li>A minimum of five to seven years law firm/professional services experience</li><li>Must demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication skills</li><li>Must have excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing needs</li><li>Self-starter and team player</li><li>Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion</li><li>Ability to research and think strategically and analytically</li><li>Strong presentation skills</li><li>Possess a professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skill in order to interact successfully with personnel at all levels</li></ul>
