<p class="MemoTableCxSpFirst">A national law firm with multiple offices is seeking an ambitious, innovative leader to be the catalyst for its marketing efforts. The Marketing & Communications Manager will be a self-starter and develop/implement the marketing efforts for this fast-growing firm. Possessing a “roll up your sleeves” approach to getting the job done, they must have strong analytical and exceptional oral/written communications skills, and experience with managing and executing a variety of projects simultaneously in a busy, team-oriented environment where collaboration and consultation is highly valued. The manager will be responsible for recommending new marketing initiatives that highlight the firm’s leadership in its field. The candidate needs to be enthusiastic with flexibility to take on additional responsibilities, as necessary, and execute the firm’s marketing efforts in a professional manner.</p> <p class="MemoTableCxSpFirst"> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Main areas of Responsibilities</span>:</p> <ul> <li>Content management</li> <li>Events</li> <li>Public relations</li> </ul> <p class="MemoTableCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .25in; mso-add-space: auto;"> </p> <p class="MemoTableCxSpFirst"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Day-to-Day Responsibilities</span>:</p> <ul> <li>Work with the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and Marketing Committee to develop key strategic/tactical objectives and plans to achieve annual goals.</li> <li>Serve as point person for all marketing projects and initiatives.</li> <li>Manage, develop and refine processes and procedures relating to the firm’s marketing infrastructure. Maintain quality control to ensure all marketing collateral and communications are consistent. Ensure processes are efficient. Make the best use of available technology and firm resources.</li> <li>Develop/update content for website and marketing collateral.</li> <li>Manage relationship with media, including serving as the firm’s liaison, prepare press releases, identify opportunities for article placements and handle advertising, as needed. Serve as contact for consultants.</li> <li>Identify opportunities/manage nomination process for relevant rankings and surveys.</li> <li>Assist with identifying/executing sponsorship and speaking engagements, including coordinating and preparing materials.</li> <li>Serve as CLE committee member to provide administrative support for CLE offerings to clients and attorneys, including preparing materials, obtaining CLE credit for presentations and identifying opportunities for developing presentation content for PR and marketing purposes.</li> <li>Attend/contribute to client group/team meetings and planning process.</li> <li>Track/analyze marketing initiatives and provide evaluation of past initiatives.</li> <li>Conduct client research to aid in practice development initiatives.</li> <li>Assist attorneys in identifying/tracking new business and cross-marketing opportunities.</li> <li>Maintain firm’s client database.</li> <li>Monitor marketing budget and track group activities.</li> <li>Manage vendor relationships.</li> <li>Perform other duties, as assigned.</li> </ul>
Job Requirements
<p class="MemoTableCxSpFirst"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Requirements:</span></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related major.</li> <li>At least 3 to 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in a professional services environment.</li> <li>Superior oral and written communications skills and strong proofreading skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated project management experience.</li> <li>Must be detail-oriented and have ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>A self-starter who shows strong initiative and creativity, and can work effectively within a team and with all firm personnel.</li> <li>Superior working knowledge of different software applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Demonstrated customer service focus and team-first orientation.</li> <li>Knowledge and understanding of CRM systems.</li> <li>Familiarity with Adobe Pro software is a plus.</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">We offer a collegial environment and excellent benefits.
