<p>I. Summary Description <br />The Marketing Manager is responsible for the support of business development and marketing initiatives to assist key practice areas and individual attorneys in the Austin office. The Manager will supervise staff to help execute projects and will also take a hands-on role in the daily business development and marketing activities. <br />II. Reporting Responsibility <br />The position of Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing in the Houston office. <br />III. Responsibilities <br />ï?¡ Support practice groups and individual attorneys in creating and implementing marketing and business development plans. <br />ï?¡ Prepare client and prospective client proposals, presentations, collaterals, responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, and assist with other materials as required. <br />ï?¡ Conduct market research for prospective clients and clients. <br />ï?¡ Oversee planning of and participation in client seminars, attorney speaking engagements, special events, and other marketing initiatives as required. <br />ï?¡ Work with the firms Communications Manager on appropriate press and media opportunities. <br />ï?¡ Assist in developing and planning community and sponsorship opportunities. <br />ï?¡ Assist in the continued development and implementation of the firms advertising campaign. <br />ï?¡ Assist in the development of marketing and business development training programs for attorneys. <br />ï?¡ Assist in the departments annual budgeting process. <br />ï?¡ Assist with the implementation, use and updating of the firms CRM application for client mailings and other projects as required. <br />ï?¡ Other responsibilities and duties as assigned. <br /> <br />IV. Qualifications <br />The Marketing Manager must demonstrate maturity, attention to detail, and the ability to appropriately prioritize multiple work assignments. Further, the Marketing Manager must be able to meet deadlines, grasp new concepts quickly, be a creative problem solver, and be well-organized. <br />Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in marketing, media relations, or communications in the legal or professional services field. Must work well as a team member. Must have working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products. Experience with desk top publishing software and graphics software preferred. A Bachelors Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or Business is required. <br />V. Performance Measurement <br />This position will be evaluated primarily on the ability to produce high quality work products in a deadline-based environment. Working as a team member of the Marketing Department will also be key in the positions performance review.</p>
