This may be the opportunity you have been looking for.</p> <p><strong>Orrick </strong>currently has an excellent opportunity for a <strong>Pitch Center Specialist (Corporate)</strong> at the <strong>Global Operations Center ("GOC") in Wheeling WV</strong>.</p> <p>In this role, you will be a member of the Marketing department who supports Orrick's firm wide business goals and strategies as well as the objectives of the Pitch Center and Marketing Department. Your primary role will be to support and lead firm and department strategy and initiatives. You will work with the Pitch Center, Marketing Operations, practice group lawyers and Marketing practice colleagues to support and lead opportunity requests that arise out of the assigned practices, opportunity outcome collection and recording, and the updating and management of pitch and proposal materials.</p> <p><strong>What responsibilities will you have?</strong></p> <p>At the direction of the Strategic Pitch Center Manager, the Pitch Center Specialist (Corporate) is responsible for the following related to the M&A, Capital Markets and Compensation & Benefits practices: </p> <ul> <li>In collaboration with practice partners and Marketing practice support managers, you will lead pitch, proposal and RFP drafting and coordination</li> <li>Collaborating with regional practice support as needed, you will lead superior maintenance and organization of marketing materials within the department’s materials library</li> <li>You will regularly analyze and review practice marketing collateral to ensure effective and consistent messaging on the practice/industry/geography and firmwide levels</li> <li>You will manage comprehensive review of ServiceNow opportunity data for assigned pitches, proposals and RFPs, including outreach to partners for opportunity outcomes</li> <li>You will regularly review current experience related to assigned practices areas, ensuring its inclusion in core materials</li> <li>You will participate in pitch debrief sessions, as assigned by manager</li> <li>Additional team initiative and special project participation will be assigned to you at discretion of manager</li> </ul> <p>To submit your resume and cover letter for this position, please visit our Paralegal and Professional Staff listing at www.orrick.com/careers/.</p> <p>No phone calls please.</p> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, protected veteran status, or on the basis of disability.</p>
Job Requirements
<ul> <li>Four-year degree in marketing, business, communications, English or other related discipline preferred or equivalent work experience. Prior law firm or professional services firm experience preferred.</li> <li>Excellent word-processing computer and Internet skills necessary; high proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel as well as SharePoint.</li> <li>Ability to become proficient in the use of the following marketing systems and tools: Orrick's Biography Tool, ServiceNow Project Management Platform; Orrick's Proposal Software; Orrick's Portal; and Relevant Marketing Resources therein, such as: O(ex); Enterprise Search; Client Snapshot; and eReports.</li> <li>Excellent writing skills and extraordinary attention to detail and proofreading skills. Applicants may be required to complete a short writing and or copyediting test.</li> <li>Strong project management skills, including independent discernment and decision-making with strong leadership and communication skills.</li> <li>Excellent ability to analyze large amount of information and data for key takeaways and crafting of messaging points.</li> <li>Ability to gain agreement and to build positive relationships within the firm through quality work and through leadership.</li> <li>Extraordinary ability to adapt to changing list of priorities and excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.</li> <li>Highly productive, flexible and can handle stress with the ability to effectively balance projects and prioritize tasks. </li> </ul>
