<p><span><strong></strong></span></p> <p><span><strong>Overview of Responsibilities:</strong><br /><br />The Manager will be responsible for managing the following essential functions:</span></p> <p><span> </span></p> <ul><li> <div><span><span>Development and oversight of all marketing and business development-related initiatives for both the Los Angeles and Irvine offices.</span></span></div> </li><li> <div><span>With practice groups, the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, Director of Marketing and Business Development and others, creating strategic plans to drive the business development and marketing goals of the Los Angeles and Irvine offices and practice groups.</span></div> </li><li> <div><span>Development of strong, responsive relationships with attorneys in the Los Angeles and Irvine offices and other firm leaders.</span></div> </li><li> <div><span>Working closely with Los Angeles and Irvine-based attorneys and practice groups and marketing to (a) produce client development seminars, firm-sponsored events, conferences and trade shows.<span> </span>Take seminars from concept through all stages of implementation and presentation, including identifying attendees, locations, materials development and production, facility liaison, etc.; (b) identify speaking and sponsorship opportunities, target appropriate membership opportunities, etc., to create visibility and to advance new business goals; (c) working closely with tactical coordinators, ensure that new lateral partner hires are effectively promoted; that their expertise and association with the firm is strategically communicated to clients and business communities, etc.; (d) draft responses for and provide strategic direction into relevant surveys and promotional opportunities to increase awareness and recognition of select practice groups; (e) provide thought leadership executed through direct mail and email, including Client Alerts, bulletins, etc.; (f) develop effective, strategically focused marketing materials; ensure that practice group descriptions, attorney bios, etc., present a consistent image, are aligned with practice group strategies, are continually updated to reflect changes, and are consistent with other collateral produced by the firm.</span></div> </li><li> <div><span>Work closely with the Assistant Director of PR, Media and Communications, in developing strategies and written communications, press releases, etc. to promote the Los Angeles and Irvine-based attorneys, practice groups and related successes.<span> </span><span>The Manager also may provide content for the Web, firm collateral, and internal communications such as the Intranet Billboard.</span></span></div> </li><li> <div><span>The Manager works with industry and practice group leaders, partners and other departmental managers to generate business leads, expand existing client matters and drive cross-selling and new business development.</span></div> </li><li> <div><span>Works to develop and implement marketing plans and strategies for attorneys/groups.</span></div> </li><li> <div><span>Works collaboratively with all other marketing team members to achieve the firms marketing and business development objectives.</span></div> </li><li> <div><span>Identify opportunities to increase practice group and individual attorney visibility and to expand the client base both domestically and internationally.</span></div> </li><li> <div><span>Proactively seeks opportunities fo
Job Requirements
<ul><li>Required Experience:</li><li>Bachelors degree.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years marketing and/or business development and sales experience in a professional services firm or environment.</li><li>Experience with partnerships mandatory.</li><li>Law firm experience mandatory.</li><li>Experience with a multi-office U.S. company with a strong international presence is highly desirable.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to build effective internal and external client relationships.</li><li>Familiarity with the Internet and databases desired.</li><li>Excellent time and project management skills and the ability to delegate effectively.</li><li>Strong competency in Microsoft Office.</li><li>Strong people and project management skills.</li></ul>
