<p><strong>Position Title: </strong>Director of U.S. Marketing Programs<br /><strong>Department: </strong>Marketing<br /><strong>Location: </strong>Chicago, Illinois<br /><br /><strong>Summary</strong></p> <p>The Director of U.S. Marketing Programs supports the Firm’s overall strategy by leading U.S. marketing efforts through comprehensive initiatives that position the Firm to attract prospective and maintain current clients. These marketing initiatives may include a variety of coordinated activities such as events, sponsorships and speaking opportunities, advertising, social media engagements, networking associations and other outreach efforts. This individual will lead a team of geographically distributed staff that provide marketing expertise and support at both the local and national level. The director will direct the U.S. marketing programs team to provide a streamlined, consistent and high-quality experience for our internal and external clients – regardless of office location. The director, along with their team, will identify opportunities to strengthen the Firm’s profile and position in key U.S. markets; leverage the Firm’s people, knowledge and resources for maximum impact; and facilitate communication and collaboration within the team, across the department and throughout the Firm.<br /> <br />The director is expected to be both strategic and tactical, with strong management and leadership skills to coach a high-performance team that delivers measureable results for the Firm. This individual is expected to perform all responsibilities with a clear commitment to the Firm’s overall strategy, providing superior service to lawyers and overseeing a strong, efficient, and forward-looking team.<br /><br /></p>
Job Requirements
<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><br />• Develop a deep understanding of the Firm’s strategy and the relevant U.S. markets, including insight into legal services needs, industry developments, competitors and business environment in each market in order to define marketing strategies that will enhance the Firm’s position<br />• Provide counsel and support to practice and industry team directors, liaisons and lawyers to integrate effective marketing strategies to pursue new business by strengthening existing relationships as well as targeting new opportunities that align with the Firm’s strategy<br />• Engage the appropriate lawyer and staff resources to enhance the Firm’s shared contact collection (InterAction) as well as serve as a subject matter expert in leveraging the collection to support our marketing efforts<br />• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure cross-utilization of staff and other resources to balance the workload and identify opportunities for professional development<br />• Monitor, analyze and report on the impact of marketing initiatives, including return on investments from marketing activities including events, sponsorships, associations and other outreach efforts<br />• Lead a high-performance team of geographically distributed staff who provide marketing expertise and support on both a local and national level by serving as a mentor and coach to the team and others within the Marketing department<br />• Leverage opportunities across services, offices and departments to define and communicate best practices that will strengthen the Firm’s overall marketing efforts and their impact<br />• Lead networking and specialty programs for alumni, industry groups and third-party relationships while supporting others in promoting the Firm’s diversity and pro bono efforts</p> <p><br /><strong>Education and/or Experience</strong><br /><strong>Qualification Requirements:</strong> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the Duties and Responsibilities (Duties) above satisfactorily and meet the requirements below.
