Sonnenschein is a leader in the law firm industry as noted by our rank in the Am Law 100 list and the fact that several of our offices have been recognized as Best Places to Work in their respective communities.</p> <p> </p> The firm is currently recruiting for a <strong>Marketing Leader - Health Care, Business Regulation and Internet, Communications & Data Protection Practices. <br /><br />Position Description:</strong> <p> </p> <p>This position, which is located in Washington, DC and reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, is responsible for providing marketing direction, support and materials to the lawyers and other professionals in our Health Care, Business Regulation, and Internet, Communications & Data Protection Practices.</p> <p> </p> <p>As the Marketing Leader for these practices, this manager will work closely with the practice heads and other lawyers in developing and implementing marketing plans for providing the marketing support required for achieving the goals of the practices.</p> <p> </p> <strong>Responsibilities include:</strong> <p> </p> <li>Establishing market goals and identifying profitable target client and markets. In addition to assessing our capabilities, resources and competitive strengths for capturing significant new business, this position will identify potential clients by determining key industry, trade and professional organizations in which memberships, sponsorships and other professional involvements could produce sales opportunities. </li><li>Providing market research and analysis, and regular and timely business intelligence on a range of industry and marketplace trends; identifying and recommending other opportunities for building awareness among potential clients and helping to differentiate the practice from its competition. </li><li>Managing sales outreach functions, including developing and writing new business pitches, creating business-winning sales and informational presentations, e.g., PowerPoints; drafting comprehensive and persuasive responses to selected RFPs. </li><li>Designing and developing relationship-building events, e.g., conferences, seminars, CLE sessions, etc., to bring practice group members face to face with clients, prospective clients and others important to our business development efforts. </li><li>Identifying and assisting in capturing public relations and media opportunities for the practice and its lawyers and other professionals; assisting with the production and dissemination of e-alerts and other timely communications to clients and others. </li><li>Developing and producing sales and other collateral; provide Web site updates and other content enhancements. </li><li>Monitoring key trade journals and other business media for editorial and advertising opportunities for reaching key decision makers. </li><li>Seeking and obtaining high-payoff speaking opportunities and business, civic, governmental and community involvement networking activities. </li><li>Recommending strategic advertising and advertorial opportunities
