<p>The coordinator will provide ongoing business development coaching and strategic and tactical assistance to attorneys to help grow their practices; plan and coordinate meetings between firm’s attorneys and prospects or clients; work with attorneys to communicate firm’s successes to clients and prospects; coordinate responses to RFQs and RFPs; develop and curate content for and manage distribution of firm’s client and marketing mailings/newsletters; build targeted media lists, develop media materials, and conduct media outreach; identify and secure opportunities for firm’s attorneys to serve as media spokespeople on relevant issues, write bylined articles for key media outlets, and to speak at conferences and events; provide recommendations for and manage website content; plan and coordinate in-house client events and seminars; plan and coordinate receptions at various conferences; manage firm attendance, participation, and charitable sponsorships/contributions for client galas, golf tournaments and other events and organizations; and manage outside contractors or vendors, as needed, for marketing and advertising support.</p> <p> </p>
Job Requirements
<p>Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or similar major; 4-5 years’ experience in marketing, business development, event management and/or communications. Law firm experience and personal professionalism. You must be detail-oriented, strong writing/editing abilities and excellent communication (both oral and written) and follow-up skills. Having working knowledge of legal terms and concepts is ideal. Able to accept criticism and also strong enough to give their honest opinion, even if it might not align with a partner's idea, but be open enough to compromise. Action-oriented, organized, intellectually sharp, quick-thinking (especially dealing with clients/situations). This role might sometimes serve as a liaison between partners, associates, and clients. Flexibility; position might require some occasional weekends, evenings and perhaps some travel. Ability to quickly build rapport with lawyers, team members and potential clients; working comfortably with a wide variety of audiences and personalities both inside the firm and externally. Excellent computer skills necessary; high proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Adobe Suite proficiency is a HUGE plus. Ability to become proficient with databases, CRMs, PDFs, etc. Excellent writing and proofreading skills. Strong ability to plan and fully host an event; from inception to post-event analysis.</p> <p> </p>
