<p>Position Responsibilities</p> <p><ul><li>Plans, develops and implements effective and cost-efficient external and internal communications strategies.</p> <p></li><li>Responsible for effective writing and editing of a variety of marketing communications pieces, including, but not limited to, practice area descriptions, attorney biographies, brochures, press releases, responses to requests for proposals, seminar invitations, direct mail, attorney announcements, and Web site updates in both print and electronic formats. Includes coordination with Design Manager, project team members, agencies and outside consultants</p> <p></li><li>Coordinates update of content and periodic enhancement of the firm Web site and marketing Intranet site.</p> <p></li><li>Works with the CBDO to develop firm-wide, practice area and individual attorney public relations efforts. Provides day-to-day supervision of public relations agency. Aids attorneys in writing bylined articles. Coordinates placement and submission of articles.</p> <p></li><li>Tracks public relations, advertising and marketing initiatives of competitor firms and the legal industry. Maintains publicity and PR files for firm.</p> <p></li><li>Responsible for public information, including media kit.</p> <p></li><li>Responsible for all directory listings.</li><li>Maintains overall consistency of brand voice across marketing initiatives.</p></li></ul>
Job Requirements
<ul><li>Position Competencies</li><li>A four-year college degree, preferably in communications or journalism.</li><li>Ten to twenty years of corporate communications experience, including client and employee communications.</li><li>Excellent writing and editing capabilities including headline skills and short/long copy work.</li><li>Exceptional oral communications and organizational skills.</li><li>Excellent technology skills with proficiency on both PC and Macintosh environments.</li><li>Requires advanced project management skills and superior quality control. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.</li><li>Knowledge of printing, video and electronic communications.</li><li>Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.</li><li>Experience working with outside consultants and vendors, including advertising and public relations firms.</li></ul>
