Job Description
<p>Develop and implement the strategy and related tactics to raise the profile of the NY office and the resident NY attorneys.</p> <p>Be the “go to person” for the attorneys in the office in partnership with the appropriate Business Development Manager (BDM).</p> <p>Assist attorneys with pitches, RFPs, client and prospect research, client events, speaking opportunities, in-house presentations, and overall practice development.</p> <p>Serve as a local resource for educating and gaining buy-in for new marketing and business development initiatives.</p> <p>Provide one-on-one coaching and business plan support to attorneys in the office.</p> <p>Develop and conduct marketing and business development training programs for attorneys.</p> <p>In collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications, actively promote the office and attorneys in the local market.</p> <p>Manage the local sports tickets, events, advertising, and community relations initiatives for the office.</p> <p>Develop and monitor the local office budget.</p> <p>Assume additional responsibilities, as requested.</p>
Job Requirements
<p>Bachelor’s Degree or higher. MBA a plus.</p> <p>At least 8-10 years’ experience in marketing or business development in a professional services environment. Experience working in a law firm preferred.</p> <p>Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to influence others.</p> <p>Ability to function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, prioritize multiple projects on a daily basis, and adjust to shifting priorities.</p> <p>Strong planning, project management and organizational skills.</p> <p>Proven leadership and management abilities.</p> <p>Strong sense of urgency and a high-energy level.</p> <p>Facility analyzing, working with and presenting data.</p> <p>Ability to collaborate and gain the respect, trust and confidence of the Firm’s attorneys and professional staff.</p> <p>Possess a “hands-on” tactical approach.</p> <p>Creative and proactive approach to problem solving.</p> <p>Facilitate teamwork and identify opportunities to develop new processes/infrastructure.</p> <p>Demonstrated ability to grasp and implement new concepts quickly.</p> <p>Strong analytical abilities, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.</p> <p>Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive and positive style that fosters collaborative working relationships.</p> <p>Outstanding sense of customer service.</p> <p>Deep personal commitment to integrity, excellent judgment and the highest standards of ethics.</p> <p>Must display the highest level of diplomacy, tact and discretion, with comfort in handling and maintaining confidential information.</p> <p>Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
