This may be the opportunity you have been looking for.</p> <p><strong>Orrick </strong>currently has an exciting opening to be located in one of our <strong>U.S. office locations</strong> for a <strong>Marketing Content Lead </strong>who is ready to be challenged and build a career within an AmLaw Top 100 law firm. This position supports Orrick's strategic marketing and visibility efforts through developing marketing content for our digital marketing platforms and marketing collateral.</p> <p>Reporting to the Director of Strategic Marketing Operations, your primary role will be to work directly with marketing staff in the U.S., Europe and Asia offices to draft compelling, thoughtful copy for collateral materials, marketing campaigns and the firm’s digital marketing needs. You will draw on administrative skills to coordinate content development and meet deadlines. You will gain a 360-degree understanding of the firm and its practices while developing a wide range of legal marketing skills. Responsibilities also include managing the marketing calendar globally.</p> <p>This role is an opportunity for you to grow professionally while working with incredibly smart, creative people in a collegial, collaborative work environment.</p> <p>You will work with our Marketing senior team, partners, and peers to develop content strategy aligned with the firm’s branding, business and marketing needs and objectives, and meet all messaging frameworks and deliverables.</p> <p><strong>What Responsibilities Will You Have?</strong></p> <ul> <li>You will serve as the Marketing primary point of contact on content development and writing projects; specifically, write and edit pitches/proposals/RFP responses, deal and practice descriptions, biographies, and marketing collateral</li> <li>Drive marketing content relating to all the firm’s practice areas (corporate and litigation) </li> <li>Oversee and guide editorial tone, style and content in all marketing materials to ensure consistent messaging and effective positioning and branding</li> <li>You will proactively keep practice and sector website content fresh and up to date</li> <li>Conceptualize and execute the leveraging of content, both existing and newly created, across marketing collateral and campaigns</li> <li>Work closely with Marketing directors and managers to support their writing and content projects</li> <li>Supervise and manage junior marketing staff and develop writing and editing skills of others in the department</li> <li>Perform additional duties as needed</li> </ul>
Job Requirements
<p><strong>What Skills Are Required?</strong><br /> • Minimum 2 to 5 years’ comparable law firm experience or professional services firm with deep understanding of legal practice, output of work product and business objectives<br /> • Ability to create quality original written content, demonstrating a sophisticated and dynamic writing style; and excellent business writing and editing skills<br /> • Strong computer skills including high proficiency with MS Word and PowerPoint<br /> • Ability to interact effectively across all levels of the firm, including key stakeholders, partners and business development staff; and handle time-sensitive requests from demanding lawyers<br /> • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; and maintain composure during challenging situations<br /> • Strong attention to detail with shown ability to generate high-quality work product in a dynamic and highly competitive environment<br /> • Ability to quickly identify and analyze problems, develop solutions and deliver results<br /> • Strong analytical, organizational and project/time management skills with the ability to implement strategic directives and proactively see projects through with minimal guidance<br /> • Excellent judgment, diplomacy and discretion including sensitivity to confidential information<br /> • Strong verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively</p> <p><strong>Other Preferred Skills</strong><br /> • Two years’ of practicing associate experience in a law firm<br /> • Prior experience as a content lead<br /> • Experience with social media tools and website content management systems</p> <p><strong>Education</strong><br /> • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field or equivalent work experience is required<br /> • Advanced degree in appropriate field preferred</p> <p>To submit your resume and cover letter for this position, please visit our Paralegal and Professional Staff listing at www.orrick.com/careers/.</p> <p>No phone calls please.</p> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, protected veteran status, or disability.</p> <p>Consistent with the SF Fair Chance Ordinance, an arrest and conviction record will not automatically disqualify a qualified applicant from consideration.</p> <p>Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered for the position in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring</p>
