<p>Exponent is a leading engineering and scientific consulting firm. Our multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, physicians, and regulatory consultants brings together more than 90 different disciplines to solve complicated problems facing corporations, insurers, government entities, associations and individuals. Exponent provides litigation support services in addition to general consulting in the engineering, environmental and health disciplines. Our approximately 1000 staff members work in 26 offices across the United States and abroad. Exponent has over 800 consultants, including more than 500 that have earned a doctorate in their chosen field of specialization.</p> <p>Exponent is currently hiring for a Marketing Manager to join our Business Development/Client Services team in our Menlo Park, CA office. Reporting to the Vice President of Client Services, the individual in this position will be managing the corporate marketing function for the firm and supporting the existing business development efforts.</p> <p>The primary responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Managing corporate marketing activities</li> <li>Coordinating marketing support materials and website development</li> <li>Addressing branding and messaging for the firm</li> <li>Writing, designing, organizing and categorizing marketing materials, newsletters, advertising and electronic materials</li> <li>Supporting existing CRM databases</li> <li>Managing trade shows</li> </ul> <p>This position requires:</p> <ul> <li>M.S. or M.B.A. and an undergraduate science or engineering degree, preferred. BA in Marketing with an emphasis in technical writing will be considered</li> <li>7+ years marketing experience in a legal, engineering or other professional services firm</li> <li>Prior experience in professional services marketing preferred</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of AP Style, English language, punctuation, spelling and grammar</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of business and marketing writing for online audiences</li> <li>7+ years of experience in web publishing or editing, and content management</li> <li>Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and a self-starter</li> <li>Must be able to work under critical time deadlines and to re-evaluate priorities while exercising discretion, diplomacy, and good judgment</li> <li>Ability to take ownership of projects and multi-task</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain effective working relationships</li> <li>Ability to interact with consultants and staff at all levels as well as with clients and business contacts</li> <li>Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite, web-based tools (such as HTML), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator preferred), and In Design</li> </ul> <p>*San Francisco Bay Area candidates preferred.</p> <p>We are an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Veterans and Disabled Employer.</p>
