Job Description
<ul> <li>Write and execute project plans, oftentimes with limited team resources. Projects will be assigned by the Chief Strategy Officer and will be approved by the proper governing body. Most projects will be conceptual and will require a person experienced in taking an idea and turning it into executable steps. </li> <li>Understand the firm and practice area strategic objectives and be able to offer ideas to help achieve those efforts.</li> <li>Convene and manage small teams of diverse individuals to address objectives identified in the project plan. Engage key stakeholders and work with cross-organizational teams where diplomacy, sensitivity, conflict resolution and consensus-building skills are critical.</li> <li>Document project deliverables, work plans, and milestones. Provide ongoing progress reports to stakeholders and leadership. Meeting deadlines and managing expectations is essential for success in this role.</li> <li>Develop and manage, on an ongoing basis, programs around client innovation teams and industry teams.</li> <li>Develop and manage, on an ongoing basis, firm alumni program.</li> <li>Assist as needed with projects related to Pricing and Project Management.</li> <li>Manage both project-based and/or entire GL-budgets as assigned by the Chief Strategy Officer.</li> <li>Assist Chief Strategy Officer with other projects as assigned. </li> </ul> <p> </p>
Job Requirements
<ul> <li>Strong project management skills and a proven ability to assist with and execute strategic plans. Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to perform a variety of complex and diverse tasks involving independent judgment, critical thinking skills, leadership of projects and implementation of decisions.</li> <li>A solid understanding of marketing and business development principles and concepts in a law firm environment. </li> <li>Client-focused (internal and external clients) and possess the ability to handle sensitive issues in a personable, tactful, and organized manner to ensure collaboration and coordination among practice areas, offices and administrative departments. </li> <li>Maturity and seasoning that engenders respect and trust from others. Good judgment, professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative style. </li> <li>Autonomous, able to tolerate ambiguity, self-motivated. Flexibility to work in a non-structured, varying role.</li> <li>Superior verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Strong work ethic and flexibility to meet the demands of the position.</li> <li>Bachelor's degree (in Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications preferred) </li> <li>At least seven years of marketing or business development experience (preferably at a law firm).</li> </ul> <p> </p>
